No. 3 Men's Lightweight Rowing Battles For Wood-Hammond Trophy Saturday

PRINCETON – The No. 3 Princeton Men's Lightweight Team makes trip to Philadelphia to take on No. 5 Penn and No. 8 Georgetown on Saturday on the Schuylkill River.
The Tigers and Quakers will race for the Wood-Hammond Trophy, a trophy that Penn won in 2022. Prior to that, the Tigers had won 14 consecutive races against the Quakers.
Last week, Cornell (5:52.05) began the day with a 14.6-second win at 3V before earning the Platt Cup (5:41.75) by 2.5 seconds over Princeton (5:44.25).
The Tigers earned a victory at 2V (5:45.05) by 1.18 seconds over the Big Red (5:46.23) before Cornell's 4V picked up a decision.
Head coach Marty Crotty's 1V has picked up victories this season over No. 5 Navy, No. 7 Georgetown, No.9 Dartmouth, Columbia, Mercyhurst, MIT, Penn, Delaware.
