Alexandra Kelly Sets New Triple Jump School Record for Women's Track and Field at UVA Challenge

Charlottesville, VA - The Princeton women's track and field team made their mark in Charlottesville on day two of the UVA Challenge, earning several top performances.
First-year jumper Alexandra Kelly set the new school record in the triple jump, finishing with a personal best mark of 12.96m.
Kelly's mark surpasses the previous Princeton record of 12.91m set by Imani Oliver '14 and will now stand as the eighth all-time best performance in Ivy League history.
Kelly finished second overall in the event, adding .12 meters to her previous, personal best.
Tia Rozario also placed within the top ten finishers in the triple jump, finishing with a mark of 12.57m to take seventh place overall.
The javelin throwers also shined on Friday, with Shea Greene and Kate Joyce placing second and third overall. Greene finished with a personal best distance of 50.55m and Joyce executed a 48.09m throw. Greene's mark will maintain her spot at No. 2 on the Princeton all-time performances list, improving her previous best of 48.71m.
Siniru Iheoma represented the Tigers in the discus, placing sixth with a distance of 50.11m. In the pole vault invite section, Tessa Mudd claimed seventh place overall, clearing 4.00m.
On the track, Harlowe Brumett-Dunn and Olivia Hee finished with impressive performances in the 100m prelims. Harlowe Brumett-Dunn finished in 11.73 and Olivia Hee at 11.80.
Maggie Hock finished with a season best time of 2:06.80 in the 800m to finish in eighth overall. Lauren Harris and Paola Rodriguez competed in the 400m, with Harris coming in at 57.37 and Rodriguez at 57.84.
