Philadelphia, PA -Â The Princeton Men's Track and Field team opened up weekend competition at the annual Penn Relays on Thursday afternoon. With just one week until the Outdoor Heptagonal Championships, the Tigers had the opportunity to become better familiar with Franklin Field before competing in Philadelphia next championship weekend. The Tigers finished day one with strong performances in two events.Â

The Tigers finished day one with strong performances in two events.Â
In the college men's 3000m steeplechase, Jackson Shorten had an impressive showing, finishing with a time of 9:00.48.
In the college men's 15000m championship, the team had a strong showing from Jack Stanley finishing with a time of 3:46.63, Connor McCormick also impressed finishing with a time of 3:58.40.

The Tigers continue competition in Philadelphia on day two of the Penn Relays on Friday, April 28th. Another squad will also be competing in Ewing, New Jersey at the TCNJ Outdoor Invitational.Â
