PRINCETON – The No. 1 Princeton Women's Rowing Team took down the No. 8 Penn Quakers on the final race on Lake Carnegie for Class of 2023.
The 1V crossed the line at 6:27.8, two seconds ahead of the Quakers (6:29.8). The Tigers had their 2V (6:34.8), varsity four (7:27.9), 3V (7:01.4) and 4V (7:17.7) collect wins.
"This senior class is small but mighty," said Princeton head coach Lori Dauphiny. "They have lived through a pandemic and a cancelled season. They have gone on to lead this team to an Ivy Championship in 2022 and a strong season this year. We don't know what we will do without them but luckily, we don't have to worry about that yet!"
Princeton's first varsity went 7-0 this season, marking the first undefeated season for the boat since 2019.
