Laudenslager Earns Fourth Ivy League Pitcher of the Week Honor
April 04, 2023 | Softball
For the fourth time this season, Alexis Laudenslager has been named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week.
Laudenslager contributed to three wins over the past week, getting a no-decision in a 3-2 win over Rider before turning in her sixth and seventh double-digit strikeout performances of the season with 10 and 11 Ks in the first and third games of the series against Penn, which Princeton won 7-0 and 3-1.Â
Laudenslager had 138 strikeouts last season and is already up to 104 this season, helping her to 277 for her career, the 10th-highest total in program history. Laudenslager could move up the list quickly, with Shanna Christian '16 ninth at 284, Angela Tucci '88 eighth at 287, and Karen Drill '94 seventh at 304.
Laudenslager and the Tigers will host Lehigh Wednesday before returning to league play with a visit from Columbia Saturday and Sunday.
