No. 1 Princeton Women's Crew Has Each Boat Qualify For NCAA A/B Semifinals

PENNSAUKEN – The No. 1 Princeton Women's Rowing Team had each of its three boats qualify for the A/B Semifinals after the first day of action at the NCAA Rowing Championships on the Cooper River.
Princeton's 1V collected a second-place finish in its heat (6:26.98) to earn a spot in its A/B Semifinal, trailing only Washington (6:23.36). The Tigers led throughout the first 1000m, but the Huskies eventually caught them to pick up the win (6:23.36). Virginia was third (6:31.55) followed by Rutgers and USC.
The Tigers' 2V led throughout its heat and secured the top time (6:42.89) in front of California (6:44.61) and SMU (6:51.64).
The No. 1 ranked Tigers had its 4A earn a 7:34.46, second in its heat behind Stanford (7:32.94).
The 1V's semifinal is at 8:36 a.m. with SMU, Penn, Texas and Cal. The 2V will race at 9:36 a.m. with SMU, Brown, Texas, Washington and Virginia and the 4A will go off at 10:24 a.m. with Duke, Washington, Texas, Virginia and Michigan.
