Sondre Guttormsen Named Mid-Atlantic Region Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year by USTFCCCA

Princeton, N.J. - The United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its' Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season.

Within the Mid-Atlantic Region, Princeton's Sondre Guttormsen was named the Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA.

Guttormsen equaled the fifth-best performer in collegiate history with a 5.90m (19-4¼) clearance in the pole vault at the Texas Invitational. He entered the 2023 NCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships undefeated in the event, including a title at the Ivy League Outdoor Championships. He ended the 2023 outdoor season in Austin, Texas tying for sixth place overall.

The Senior Pole Vaulter has also made every edition of the watch list for the Bowerman, including the most recent Men's Pre-NCAA edition.
