Princeton Rowing Starts Off With Two Wins At Henley

Henley-on-Thames – Princeton's 8+ boats in the Temple Challenge Cup won their first-round matchups on Tuesday morning at the Henley Royal Regatta.
The Tigers' A boat of Tim Scheuritzel, William Olson, Reuben Cook, Noah Klemmer Domonkos, Peter Skinner, George Dickinson, Ethan Abraham, Nick Aronow and Adam Casler took down Durham University's B boat by 1 2/3 lengths, crossing the line at 6:38. This group will take on Cambridge in the next round after it defeated Durham's C Boat.

Princeton's B boat of Lazlo Wenk, John High, George Middleton, Charlie Miller, Robert Powell, Keelan Good, Patrick Shaw, Jelmer Bennema and Laney Gold-Rappe dropped Newcastle University by 1 ½ lengths, finishing at a 6:42. They will take on Oxford Brookes University's A boat in the next round after it disposed of the University of London's B boat.

Action continues tomorrow for Princeton with its 8+ boats. Floyd Benedikter, Stephane Pienaar, Nick Taylor and James Quinlan get underway in the Visitors' Challenge Cup against vs. the Radley Mariners and Tideway Scullers' School while the women's 8+ of Hannah Diaz, Lucy Koven, Anne du Croo de Jongh, Katharine Kalap, Zoe Scheske, Camille VanderMeer, Margot LeRoux, Cordelia Mahony and Ella Barry starts with the Remenham Cup against the Leander Club. Marcus Chute rows in the Diamond Challenge single scull event vs. Liam Smit of Canada as well.
