Four Women's Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

A foursome of Princeton women's golfers were honored by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) as All-American Scholars for the work on the links and in the classroom this past season.

Recognized for the achievements were Sophie Zhang-Murphy, Tiffany Kong, Victoria Liu, and Caris Kim.

To be selected, a student-athlete must:

Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.

Liu, the unanimous Ivy League Player of the Year, earned an individual selection to the 2023 NCAA Championships this past season and was honored recently as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection. She is now a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar and has twice competed at the NCAA Regionals during her two seasons of collegiate golf.

Kong, also now a two-time WGCA All-American Scholar, tied for 12th at the Ivy League Championship in April and was an Academic All-Ivy selection this past season during her senior campaign.

Caris Kim, a rising senior, was 10th at the Ivy League Championship this season.

Zhang-Murphy competed for the Tigers in four events and averaged 75.47 over her rookie season.
