Aririguzoh ’20 Joins Schwieger ‘21 at Rasta Vechta

LOWER SAXONY, Germany – Princeton University men's basketball team alumni Richmond Aririguzoh '20 will continue his professional career with Rasta Vechta in the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), where he will reunite with former teammate Ryan Schwieger '21.
Rasta Vechta, newly promoted to the BBL after winning the Pro A title in 2022-23, is set to tip its season off on Sept. 23.
Most recently, Aririguzoh played for Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen in the BNXT League, the top tier of basketball in Belgium and the Netherlands and averaged 11.3 points-per-game on 66.5% shooting from the field along with 5.1 rebounds in 32 contests. He also played six games in the FIBA Euro Cup, averaging 11.7 points on 66.7% shooting and 6.0 rebounds.
Aririguzoh joins Schwieger on a Rasta Vechta squad that won the Pro A title in 2022-23 and had a 24-8 record. Schwieger had an impressive first professional season, averaging 14.2 points on 51.6% shooting from the field and 41.0% shooting from three along with 3.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds.
A two-time All-Ivy League honoree, Aririguzoh led the nation in true shooting percentage (72.1%) and was named to the Ivy Madness All-Tournament Team in 2018-19. His career field goal percentage of .636 ranks second all-time in school history and he holds the second-highest single season shooting percentage in program history of 69.3% from the 2018-19 season.
