A trio of golfers set themselves apart from the rest of the field, tying for co-medalist honors at the Princeton Invitational, with junior Victoria Liu among the threesome who finished -2 for the 54-hole event at Springdale Golf Club.
Liu posted a total score of 211 (72-71-68) to earn at least a share of the individual title for the second year in a row after winning the event by herself last year. For Liu, the medalist honor is the sixth of her career.
"This was a solid start to our 2023-24 season," said head coach Erika DeSanty. "There is a lot to build on as we progress throughout this campaign, but I am very proud of some of the individual rounds and moments we had. Victoria showed great resilience throughout the weekend and gutted out a win. Flora had a great debut round on Saturday and acclimated well to college golf. Yu Kyung also came out firiing in her first 18 and settled in nicely today. We have a long way to April, but there is a lot of promise in this group. Thank you to everyone at Springdale for being outstanding hosts and to all the teams and coaches for making this a truly competitive event."
Dartmouth's Katherine Sung (71-73-67) and Boston University's Christy Chen (70-70-71) were the other co-medalists to round out the three-way tie atop the leaderboard.
Georgetown won the team title with a score of 862 (+10), four strokes ahead of Dartmouth. The Tigers were fifth as a team, posting a team score of 884.
