WILTON, Conn. - The Princeton women's cross country team will travel to Connecticut this weekend to compete in the second meet of the 2023 season, the HYP Meet. The competition will feature Yale and Harvard and the course is located at Allen's Meadows Park. The women's 4K is set for Saturday, September 9 at 5:30 p.m.
In its last meet at the New Jersey Jam, the team took first through fifth place on the leader board with Maggie Liebich (14:20.7) coming in first place and Mena Scatchard (14:20.7) in close second.
At the last HYP Meet, the team finished in close second with seven finishers inside the top-15 in the 5k including Fiona Max (17:52.2) who finished fourth.
"We are excited to compete in the historic rivalry of HYP," said head coach Brad Hunt. "This weekend will be an opportunity to see how we stack up in the Ivy League at the beginning of the year and build momentum into the heart of the regular season. The team is doing an excellent job of managing the demands of the start of classes while dealing with the extreme heat in early September. Thank you in advance to all the great fans that plan to cheer us on against Yale and Harvard at Allen's Meadow in Wilton, Connecticut."
