Wrestling Falls In Close Battle With Drexel, 20-15

PRINCETON – The Drexel Dragons took the final two matches to earn a 20-15 victory over the Princeton Wrestling Team on Friday evening at Jadwin Gym.
Drew Heethius got the action started for the Tigers with a 10-3 decision at 125. Sean Pierson followed up at 133 with a technical fall (19-3) to put the home squad up 9-0 after the first matches.
Following two Drexel wins at 141 and 149 which cut the Tigers' lead to one, 9-8, Rocco Camillaci came up with an 8-1 victory to push Princeton's advantage to 12-8.
After the intermission, Drexel took the lead with two victories at 165 and 174 to go up, 14-12.
Nate Dugan countered at 184 with an 8-2 win, gathering points on this impressive takedown at the end of the second frame.
Drexel's Ibrahim Ameer corralled a 3-2 victory to put the Dragons back on top, 17-15, at 197. The Dragons' Santino Morina finished off the Drexel win as he earned a 4-1 decision.
Princeton gets back in action next Friday (Jan. 26) vs. Columbia at Jadwin Gym.
