Kamryn Chaney Earns Second Ivy Player Of The Week Award

PRINCETON, N.J. – Sophomore Kamryn Chaney of the Princeton University women's volleyball team earned the Ivy League Player of the Week award for the second time in 2024 Monday afternoon.

Chaney led the Tigers to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-12) win at Columbia on Oct. 18 then a 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-19) triumph at Cornell on Oct. 19.

Through the two victories, she averaged 5.57 kills-per-set (39 total kills) on a .382 hitting percentage and 2.14 digs-per-set (15 total digs) while also recording three service aces and three blocks. Against Columbia she had 16 kills on a .355 hitting percentage, four digs, twos service aces and two blocks. She followed that up with 23 kills on a .400 hitting percentage, 11 digs, one service ace and one dig against Cornell.

Chaney was also named Ivy League Player of the Week on Sept. 16. A Tiger has collected the Ivy League's top weekly honor for the second straight week, as junior Lucia Scalamandre earned it on Oct. 14.
