No. 11/13 Women’s Ice Hockey Falls To Yale In ECAC Opener

NEW HAVEN, Conn.- Issy Wunder scored early for the Tigers but after holding on to a 1-1 tie through the first two periods, No. 11/13 Princeton fell to Yale 3-1. Two third period goals were able to seal the deal for the Bulldogs.
Yale struck first but Wunder had a quick response just 18 seconds later to tie things up in the final seconds of the first period.
The defense stood strong in the second and Princeton got its chances but was unable to capitalize.
The Bulldogs found the back of the net to start the third period to take back the lead and a third goal with seven minutes to play closed out the game.
Jennifer Olnowich made 29 saves in net for the Tigers.
Princeton will head to Providence, R.I. to take on Brown at 3:00 PM Saturday.
