Men’s Basketball Picked No. 1 In Ivy League Preseason Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Ivy League announced its 2024-25 Preseason Poll Tuesday afternoon and the Princeton University men's basketball team were picked No. 1.
The Tigers garnered 127 votes and 15 first place votes in the poll.

1. Princeton – 127 (15)
2. Yale – 108
3. Brown – 92 (1)
4. Cornell – 67
5. Columbia – 58
6. Harvard – 55
7. Penn – 51
8. Dartmouth – 18
The Tigers, who have won three-straight Ivy League titles and four out of the past seven, will be led by Franklin C. Cappon-Edward C. Green '40 Head Coach Mitch Henderson who enters his 13th season. The Tigers return 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year junior Caden Pierce and junior Xaivian Lee, who joined Pierce on the All-Ivy League First Team. Senior Blake Peters will be aiming for a fourth Ivy title in four seasons, and sophomore Dalen Davis will look to make another leap after averaging 10.2 points-per-game over the last nine games of his freshman season. Sophomore Deven Austin is also back for Princeton after missing last season due to injury.
The Tigers open the 2024-25 season on Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. against Iona.
