Ivy Field Hockey Tournament Field Now Set

When the Columbia field hockey team finished off Dartmouth 4-1 Sunday in the final regular season game of the year, it also finished off the frantic race for the final two Ivy League tournament spots.
Now that the regular season has ended, the field for the event is now set. Princeton, the Ivy League champion, will host the tournament semifinals this Friday, Nov. 8, and it will be the top-seeded Tigers against No. 4 Columbia at 11:30 and No. 2 Harvard against No. 3 Brown at 2:30.
The winners will advance to the final Sunday, Nov. 10, at noon, with the winner to receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Regardless of the outcome of the tournament, Princeton is the official Ivy League champion, for the 28th time.
The final weekend of the season began with five teams still in the running for the last two spots, and the final one was not decided until Columbia's win over Dartmouth. Princeton defeated Columbia 1-0 in the regular season; Harvard defeated Brown 4-0 in their regular season matchup.
