
Women's Lightweight Rowing Sets Course Record For 8+ at Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's lightweight rowing team wrapped up fall competition Sunday at Lake Carnegie with the Princeton Chase on a day highlighted by the Tigers' 8+ boat setting a new course record.
"It's been a fun fall," said Head Coach Paul Rassam. "We have a fun, young squad. We are rebuilding faster than maybe anticipated. Looking ahead to the long haul, the league is deep and fast and we will need to continue to push forward."
The Tigers' A boat in the 8+ set a new course record of 14:22.03, besting the previous record of 14:34. It was also the top-finishing 8+ lightweight boat.
Princeton also competed in the 1x and finished with a time of 10:49.085, along with the 2-, finishing in 18:09.976. The Tigers' 4+ rowed a 16:17.29 as well.
