Kamryn Chaney Named AVCA First Team All-Region

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its All-Region honorees Tuesday morning and sophomore Kamryn Chaney of the Princeton University women's volleyball team was named First Team All-Region for the North Region.
The postseason accolade adds to an already lengthy list for Chaney, as she was named Ivy League Player of the Year, unanimous First Team All-Ivy, Ivy League All-Tournament Team and Ivy Player of the Week on four occasions.
Chaney had a dominant 2024 as she led the Ivy League in points-per-set (5.20), kills (4.43), ranking 16th and 24th nationally. Chaney ranked third in the Ivy League in service aces (0.42). She delivered a historic performance against High Point on Sept. 21 when she recorded 34 kills, 15 assists, two blocks and one service ace. Chaney's 34 kills were the most by an Ivy League player since Oct. 11, 2014, when Penn's Maddie Lord had 23 against Brown. According to available records, her 34 kills are tied for the second-most kills in a match by an Ivy League player. Only Ashley Dean of Dartmouth has had more, when she had 35 against Harvard on Oct. 21, 2000. Chaney's 34 kills were the fourth-most kills in a five-set match by any player in 2024.
