
What is a Tiger? Matt Grossman ('22) Competes on Jeopardy

CULVER CITY, C.A. – Princeton cross country and track & field alum Matt Grossman ('22) competed on Jeopardy last night, December 16,
Now a law student at NYU, Grossman brought an impressive resume, both academically and athletically, to the Jeopardy stage. At Princeton, Grossman majored in international relations and public policy while balancing an incredible cross country and track & field career.
Grossman holds the fifth-fastest time in program history in the outdoor 10k, running 28:56.38 at the Sam Howell meet in 2022.
Grossman was also a two-time NCAA cross country championship participant, also competing twice in NCAA Regionals.
In outdoor track, Grossman competed twice at NCAA Regionals in the 10k and once in the 5k.
Grossman earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in 2018, 2019 and 2020, also earning cross country honors in 2018. He was also named to the cross country First Team All-Ivy team in 2018.
Academically, Grossman was awarded the prestigious Intern Class of 2020 Frank C. Carlucci '52 Scholar award, spending his internship at the Justice Department in the Office of Civil Rights, and he graduated Princeton cum laude.
On Jeopardy, Grossman earned the daily double, correctly answering a question about World War I. He finished in second place with a score of $5200 after competing against returning champion Ashley Chan.
Grossman's debut on reality tv shed light on his personal accolades, both in his continued studies at NYU and his time at Princeton, representing the Tigers on the Jeopardy stage.
