Cashman, Yeager Named First-Team All-Region; Six Honored In All

NFHCA All-REGION TEAMS
A season that included a perfect Ivy League record and a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals for the Princeton field hockey team continues to reap the rewards of that success. Princeton was well-represented on the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region team, with a total of six players honored, two of whom were first-team and four of whom were second-team.
Sophomore midfielder Ella Cashman and junior midfielder Beth Yeager were the two first-team selections, making it five-for-five for the two of them on All-Region selections. For Yeager, it was her third first-team selection in her three seasons, while Cashman was a second-team selection a year ago.
The four second-team selections were freshman defender Clem Houlden, senior forward Grace Schulze, junior forward Talia Schenck and senior goalie Robyn Thompson.
Next up on the NFHCA awards calendar will be the Dec. 12 announcement of the All-Region Players of the Year, the All-American teams on Dec. 17 and the National Player of the Year Dec. 19.
