Women's Water Polo To Host Princeton Invitational This Weekend

PRINCETON – The Women's Water Polo Team will host the annual Princeton Invitational this weekend at DeNunzio Pool.
Action starts on Friday with Bucknell and Villanova at 6:30 p.m. The Tigers take on No. 20 Harvard at 11 a.m. and Siena at 5 p.m. on Saturday. They finish with Mt. St. Mary's at 11:30 a.m. and No. 21 San Diego State at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Tigers are No. 9 in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association poll and tied for No. 11 in the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches' poll.
Princeton is 2-2 this season with victories over Azusa Pacific and Villanova. Head coach Derek Ellingson's crew had four players score hat tricks in the win over Villanova last Thursday. Lindsey Lucas collected CWPA Defensive Player of the Week honors following her outing vs. the Wildcats with six saves.
Ellingson's group has 10 goal scorers this season with Kayla Yelensky leading the way with nine tallies along with 13 drawn ejections. Lucas has a .569 save percentage and 37 stops.
