No. 9 Women's Water Polo Finishes Princeton Invite With Four Victories

PRINCETON - The No. 9 Women's Water Polo Team finished the Princeton Invitational at 4-0 with two more decisions on Sunday.
No. 9 Princeton 17, Mt. St. Mary's 6
The Tigers scored four of the first five goals of the game before settling with a 4-3 lead after eight minutes.
Princeton's offense hardly slowed down, ripping off six consecutive goals in the second quarter before taking a 10-4 advantage into halftime.
The home squad wasn't threatened in the second half, earning the 11-goal decision.
Princeton had three players record hat tricks with Kayla Yelensky matching her career best with five tallies along with Charlotte Riches and Kaila Carroll.

Even at two-all after the first quarter, Princeton scored six straight goals and eventually took a 10-3 lead into the break. Carroll, Kate Mallery (twice), Olivia Krotts (twice), Ava Houlahan each scored during this run.
The Tigers pushed their advantage to nine in the second half and corralled a 14-7 win.
Krotts was the second Tiger today to post five goals in a contest, joining Yelensky. She and Yelensky finished the two games with six goals overall.
Princeton has won six in a row and will head on the road to take on La Salle Thursday at 6 p.m.
