Carroll and Lucas Collect CWPA Weekly Honors As No. 9 Women's Water Polo Preps For Two Contests

PRINCETON – Kaila Carroll (Player) and Lindsey Lucas (Defensive) collected Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) weekly honors, the conference announced today.
Carroll corralled 10 goals and 12 assists along with eight steals as the Tigers went 4-0 during the Princeton Invitational last weekend. She had four assists and four steals in a 11-6 win over No. 20 Harvard before recording five goals and two helpers vs. Siena. On Sunday, she had a nine-point performance with a hat trick and six assists vs. Mt. St. Mary's and two tallies vs. No. 21 San Diego.
Lucas produced 10 saves in a win over Harvard along with five stops in 16 minutes of action vs. Siena. She also had 17 saves in a decision over No. 21 San Diego State.
Princeton has two contests this week at LaSalle on Thursday (6 p.m.) and vs. No. 21 LIU Friday (6 p.m.) at DeNunzio Pool. There will be no stream or live stats available at La Salle while the LIU contest will streamed on ESPN+.
Kayla Yelensky leads the team in goals (20), steals (15) and drawn ejections (14) while Rachael Carver paces the squad in helpers with 16. Carroll has a team-best 32 points with 17 goals and 15 assists. Lucas is 5-2 in goal with a .595 save percentage and 69 stops.
Head coach Derek Ellingson's crew has won six straight games with decisions over Azusa Pacific, Villanova, Harvard, Siena, Mt. St. Mary's and San Diego State while scoring at least 10 goals in each win.
