Kaitlyn Chen Named One of USBWA's National Players of the Week

PRINCETON – Kaitlyn Chen has been named one of the United States Basketball Writer's Association (USBWA) Ann Meyers Drysdale National Players of the Week.

She joins the list with Kamilla Cardoso (South Carolina), Caitlin Clark (Iowa), Aaliyah Edwards (UConn) and Madison Hayes (NC State).

Chen averaged 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and shot 56.5 percent from the floor in the two victories. The senior captain recorded her third career double-double with 17 points and a career-high 10 rebounds along with four assists in a comeback victory over Brown. She followed that with an efficient 7-of-9 shooting for 18 points in the dominating victory over Yale, adding six dimes.

Princeton, sitting at No. 23 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll and No. 25 in the AP Poll head to Columbia on Saturday. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
