Murphy's Hat Trick Leads Way In 4-1 Win At Yale

Ian Murphy factored in on all four Princeton goals, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. The hat trick is the third of Murphy's career and first since almost one exact year ago – February 24, 2023 at RPI.

Arthur Smith made 27 saves for the win, keeping Yale off the scoreboard until there was 1:43 to play.
After a scoreless first period where Arthur Smith made 12 saves for the Tigers, Princeton finally got on the board midway through the second period when they capitalized on a Yale turnover deep inside its own end.

Murphy gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead just 0:03 into a powerplay when he wired home a slapshot off a Nick Carabin pass 5:34 into the third period.
Murphy factored into the third Tigers goal, getting an assist on Nick Carabin's goal to give Princeton a 3-0 lead with 7:45 to play. The hat trick was secured for Murphy with 5:26 remaining when he slipped free in front to gather the rebound of an Ian Devlin shot and tucked it home. The helper was the first career point for Devlin.Senior Night (Kindof...)
