No. 23/25 Women's Basketball Heads To Big Apple For Battle With Columbia Saturday

PRINCETON – The No. 23/25 Princeton Women's Basketball Team heads to the Big Apple to take on the Columbia Lions. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

•Princeton is currently No. 23 in the WBCA Coaches' Poll and No. 25 in the AP Top-25 Poll. It's the fourth straight Berube's unit is ranked in both polls.
•Princeton's 24-game Ivy winning streak is the fourth best conference win streak in the country.
•The Orange and Black's 15-game winning streak is the fifth longest in the NCAA.
•The Tigers are only one of 15 teams to have a perfect home record (8-0).
•Princeton is No. 26 in the NCAA Net Rankings, the second-best mark among non-Power Five and Big East schools. (Gonzaga)

•Kaitlyn Chen was named one of the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale National Players of the Week on Tuesday.
•She joined the list with Kamilla Cardoso (South Carolina), Caitlin Clark (Iowa), Aaliyah Edwards (UConn) and Madison Hayes (NC State).
•Chen averaged 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and shot 56.5 percent from the floor in the two victories over Brown and Yale.
•The senior captain leads the Tigers in scoring at 16.0 points per game. She has seven straight double-digit performances.
•She has 1,169 career points and is 18th on the program's all-time list behind Katie Thirolf '00 (1,174). Blake Dietrick '15 (1,233), Addie Micir '11 (1,188) and Maggie Langlas '00 (1,188) are within striking distance.
•Chen recorded her 1,000th career point in the win over Vermont becoming the 28th Tiger to reach that milestone.
•Chen is shooting 49.7 percent from the floor which is a personal best and is 82nd in the NCAA. Her 37.3 percent from deep is also a career high.
•Her career mark of 14.0 points per game currently sits ninth all-time.
•Chen is averaging a career-high 4.6 assists per game (70th in the country) and has 317 in her career, good for ninth all-time in Tigers' history. Her 105 helpers are 91st in the NCAA.
•Madison St. Rose is second on the squad in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
•St. Rose has raised her scoring output from 8.8 as a freshman to 14.3 as a sophomore along with her shooting percentage (.361-.426) and three-point percentage (.255-.340).
•The sophomore has scored in double figures 17 times this season.
•She has already surpassed her total field goals (129), three-point total (35-27), assists (31-20) and steals (43-28) than her freshman campaign.
•Skye Belker is third on the unit in scoring at 9.3 points per game. She set a new personal best with 21 points vs. Columbia.
•It was the second time she's registered at least 20 points in a game. She also has nine double-digit performances.
•Since moving into the starting lineup vs. Columbia, Chet Nweke has posted 11.2 points while shooting 70.3 percent from the floor along with 6.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
•Princeton ranks in the NCAA's Top 100 in ... Turnover margin (+5.1, 17th), turnovers per game (12.8, 19th), field goal percentage defense (46.0, 25th), scoring defense (56.4, 28th), scoring margin (+14.1, 32nd), rebound margin (+5.8, 48th), offensive rebounds per game (13.3, 62nd), assist/turnover ratio (1.06, 63rd), three-point percentage (34.0, 71st) and scoring offense (70.6, 92nd).
WINSTON ZEDDMORE
•Ellie Mitchell continues to be one of the best rebounders in the country as she is 16th in offensive rebounds per contest (4.0), 31st in rebounds per game (9.9) and 47th in total rebounds (228).
•Mitchell has 50 games with at least 10 rebounds or more. She recorded six as a freshman, 16 as a sophomore, 17 as a junior and 11 this season.

•Head coach Carla Berube's unit is No. 20 in Her Hoop Stats' Simple RPI (61.6) which treats all games equally (25% Team Win %, 50% Average Opponent Win %, 50% Average Opponent's Average Opponent Win %).
•It is different from the NCAA RPI because the NCAA RPI values home wins as 0.6 wins, home losses as 1.4 losses, away wins as 1.4 wins, and away losses as 0.6 losses.
•Princeton sits No. 23 in Her Hoops Stats Defensive Rating (81.4), a statistic that controls for pace and adjusts defensive rating for the strength of the offenses teams have faced.
