Aidan Wang Wins 1-Meter Diving, No. 25 Tigers Second After Day Two At Ivy Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 25 Princeton University men's swimming & diving team sits a close second after the second day of competition at the Ivy League Championships at Blodgett Pool on a day that saw Aidan Wang earn a first-place finish on the 1-meter board.
Prior to the meet, the Tigers were presented with dual meet trophy after winning a share of the dual meet thanks to their 6-1 record in Ivy competition.
The Tigers' 474 points has them in second to No. 22 Harvard, whose 590 points has the Crimson first.
500 Freestyle
With a time of 4:15.58, John Ehling set a new program record, finished as runner up and earned an NCAA B cut. He bests the previous school record of 4:17.84, held by Dylan Porges '23. In the B final, Parker Lenoce finished eighth in 4:30.84 while four Tigers swam in the C final; Daniel Li finished third in 4:23.83, Nicholas Lim fifth in 4:26.88, Arthur Balva sixth in 4:27.24 and Max Hunger eighth in 4:32.57.
200 Individual Medley
Four from Princeton made it through to the A final, with all four earning NCAA B cuts. Tyler Hong touched the wall at 1:43.49 to finish second, Max Kreidl at 1:44.45 to finish fifth, Mitch Schott at 1:44.99 to finish sixth and Noah Sech at 1:45.88 to finish seventh. Hunter Kim finished fifth in the B final in 1:46.80 while two Tigers made it through to the C final, with Lucas Strobek finishing second in 1:47.42 and Max Seidel third in 1:47.82.
50 Freestyle
Brett Feyerick's time of 19.88 saw him win the B final, while Li clocked in at 20.03 to finish third and Conor McKenna 20.28 to finish eighth. Lucas Tudoras came in second in the C final with a time of 20.15.
1-Meter Diving
Wang's score of 351.85, which ranks second all-time at Princeton, saw him secure the first-place finish. Luca Fassi finished third after earning a score of 329.25 while Taso Callanan's score of 296.25 saw him finish seventh.
200 Freestyle Relay
The Tigers finished fifth after the quartet of Feyerick, Li, Schott and McKenna posted a time of 1:19.25.
