Princeton Men Split With Harvard, Yale; Share Ivy Dual Meet Title

The Princeton men's swimming and diving team ended its weekend with a win, a loss and a tie.
Princeton defeated Yale 249-104 and lost to Harvard 198.5-140.5 as the host of the annual H-Y-P meet. As a result, the Tigers shared the regular season dual meet championship with Harvard, who had lost an earlier meet against Penn.
The actual Ivy title will be determined at the league championship meet at Harvard the final weekend of February.
Princeton's Mitch Schott finished a huge weekend that saw him win the 100 freestyle and 200 individual medley Saturday after winning the 200 freestyle Friday. Schott was followed in the 200 IM by teammates Noah Sech (third), Hunter Kim (fourth) and Lucas Strobek (fifth).
Freshman Arthur Balva finished seventh in the IM but also won the 500 freestyle, edging Harvard's Cole Kuster by 0.17 seconds. As for the diving, Aidan Wang won the 3-meter and platform after finishing second in the 1-meter Friday, and he was followed by teammates Taso Callanan, George Callanan and Luca Fassi in second, third and fourth.
Princeton honored its senior class prior to the game: John Ehling, Max Kreidl, Nicholas Lim, Touma Mack, Alec Pirone, Adell Sabovic, Mike Scornavacca and Peyton Werner.
