Caden Pierce Receives Fifth Ivy Player Of The Week Honor

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a career night inside the Palestra against the University of Pennsylvania on Mar. 9, sophomore Caden Pierce of the Princeton University men's basketball team earned his fifth Ivy League Player of the Week award.

Pierce led the Tigers to a 105-83 victory over the Quakers, clinching the Ivy title outright for Princeton. Pierce recorded a game and career-high 32 points on 11-for-17 shooting from the field, 2-for-4 from three and 8-for-9 from the free throw line, with his 11 made field goals also being a career-high. In addition, Pierce's nine rebounds tied the game-high and he handed out four assists.

The Ivy Player of the Week award is Pierce's fifth of the season, as he also received the honor on Mar. 4, Jan. 2, Dec. 4 and Nov. 13. A Tiger has now won the conference's top weekly honor nine times in 2023-24, as senior Matt Allocco won it on Feb. 19 and Dec. 5, while sophomore Xaivian Lee was a recipient on Jan. 8 and Nov. 27. Davis' Rookie of the Week honor is his second, as he also won it on Dec. 11.
