Men's Hockey Has Four Named All-Ivy
March 13, 2024 | Men's Ice Hockey
Four members of Princeton's men's hockey team have been honored as All-Ivy selections as voted on by the six Ivy League head coaches.
Nick Carabin was named first-team All-Ivy, while Ian Murphy and Nick Seitz were honored with second-team All-Ivy honors. Freshman goalie Arthur Smith was named honorable mention All-Ivy.
In addition to his second-team All-Ivy honors on the ice, Seitz was also recognized as Academic All-Ivy.
All-Ivy awards are determined by a vote of the Ivy coaches and center on play against Ivy League schools. Nick Carabin had 10 points in 10 Ivy games, scoring three times and adding seven assists to earn first-team All-Ivy for his first career League honor.
Nick Seitz led all Tigers in scoring during Ivy games, posting 13 points on two goals and 11 assists -- almost half of his 23 total points this season came during his 10 Ivy games including three different three-assist games against Ivy schools.
Ian Murphy led all Tigers in goals against Ivy opponents with five, part of a 12-point slate against Ivy foes highlighted by a three-goal, one-assist effort in a 4-1 win at Yale. He graduates as a three-time All-Ivy honoree and earned All-Ivy honors in all three seasons competed during his time on campus.
Arthur Smith was 5-1-0 in goal against Ivy opponents with a 2.26 GAA and a .926 save percentage. He won all five of his starts, including his first career win against Yale and an OT win against Cornell.
