LOS ANGELES - The No. 14 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team fell to the No. 13 LMU Lions, 10-8.

Meera Burghardt put the Tigers on the board first, but LMU countered with four straight goals to end the first quarter. Kaila Carroll proceeded to cut the deficit in half, but the Lions answered right back to take a 5-2 halftime lead.

Burghardt scored her second goal to start the third, followed by a Rachael Carver hat trick, but the Lions kept pace with four goals of their own to make it 9-6. Kate Mallery's tally with 7:13 left to go in the final frame pulled the Tigers within two, but the Orange and Black were unable to cut into LMU's lead any further.

Lindsey Lucas contributed 9 saves in the loss.

Princeton concludes their West Coast trip Saturday against top-ranked UCLA (4 p.m. / 1 p.m. PT).
