
No. 14 Women’s Water Polo Bested By Top-Ranked UCLA, 10-6

LOS ANGELES - The No. 14 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team had No. 1 UCLA on upset alert through three quarters, but the Bruins were able to rally and put away the Tigers by a score of 10-6.
Rachael Carver opened the scoring for the Tigers late in the first quarter, followed by three unanswered goals for the Bruins. Princeton would go on a three-goal scoring streak of its own in the second quarter, with Kate Mallery's tally at 0:04 giving Princeton a 4-3 halftime lead.
Kayla Yelensky found the back of the net to give the Tigers a 5-4 advantage, but UCLA responded by scoring two goals to end the third quarter. The Bruins would never look back, adding four goals in the final frame.
Lindsay Lucas recorded 13 saves in the loss.
The Tigers return to DeNunzio Pool to battle Iona on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
