Yelensky Tallies Five Goals in No. 16 Women’s Water Polo’s 14-8 Win Over Iona

The No. 16-ranked Princeton women's water polo team dispatched the Iona Gaels 14-8 on Wednesday night at DeNunzio Pool, highlighted by Kayla Yelensky's five goal performance.
Charlotte Riches and Kaila Carroll each scored a goal in the first quarter, followed by a Yelensky hat trick in the second stanza. Rachael Carver also found the back of the net, giving the Tigers a 6-3 lead at the half.
The Tigers continued to press the attack in the second half, scoring four straight goals to end the third quarter, with Burghardt and Yelensky each tallying a pair. By that point, the Tigers held an 11-4 lead with the game comfortably in hand.
Princeton will play host to Wagner on Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m.
