No. 16 Women’s Water Polo Wins OT Thriller Over No. 18 Wagner

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 16 Women's Water Polo team got past the No. 18 Wagner Seahawks, 13-12, in overtime, securing their 20th straight home victory on Senior Night.
Senior Kaila Carroll put her stamp on the game in a big way, scoring a hat trick which included the game-winner.
Meera Burghardt netted two goals in the first frame, but Wagner took a 5-3 lead at the end of the quarter. Shanna Davidson and Rachael Carver each scored a goal for the Tigers in the second to tie the game at the half.
The Tigers and Seahawks went back and forth in the third quarter, as the Orange and Black answered each goal from Wagner. Trailing 10-8 in the fourth, Princeton made their comeback. In nail-biting fashion as Olivia Krotts scored with seven seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.
After both teams scored, Carroll's third tally of the game in the first portion of overtime proved to be the difference.
