Wrestlers End Run at 2024 National Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Princeton wrestling team wrapped up competition at the 2024 DI Wrestling National Championships this Friday afternoon at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
In the first round of the championship bracket, No. 16 Nate Dugan faced No. 17 Feldkamp from Iowa State but unfortunately fell short, with Feldkamp winning by fall in 2 minutes and 29 seconds. However, in the consolation bracket, Dugan came back strong, swiftly defeating No. 32 D'Alesio from LIU by fall in just 53 seconds and he continued his momentum, securing a victory over No. 18 Rogotzke from Ohio State with a score of 8-5. Despite a valiant effort, Dugan was defeated by No. 9 Berge from SDST with a score of 14-7, ending his tournament run.
No. 16 Luke Stout faced No. 17 Novak from Wyoming in a closely contested match but ultimately lost by a score of 9-6 in the opening round of the tournament. Stout bounced back in the consolation round, edging out No. 33 Bates from Northwestern with a narrow victory of 4-3. However, Stout's run ended in the next round when No. 18 Stemmet from Stanford secured a win over him with a score of 6-1.
No. 22 Cover battled against No. 11 Heindselman from Oklahoma but fell short, losing by a score of 4-2. In the consolation round, Cover faced No. 25 Hill from Little Rock but unfortunately couldn't secure a win, losing with a score of 5-0.
