Men's Track & Field Has Several Top Finishers at Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton men's track and field team put together another great performance this weekend at the annual Larry Ellis Invitational. The team continues to set new records and beat personal bests as the Ivy League Championships quickly approach.
In the field, in the men's discus throw with Casey Helm placed first in the event with a mark of 58.72m (192-8) which places him 3rd all-time. Avery Shunneson and Joe Licata also competed well in the event with Shunneson taking third place with a new 6th all-time mark of 57.22m (187.9) and Licata placing 5th with a mark of 53.13m (174-3). Tyler Konopka also won the men's shot put with a throw of 18.77m (61-7) and moves to 4th all-time in the Princeton outdoor record book.
On the track, in another standout week for Harrison Witt, the junior won the men's 1500m elite with a time of 3:40.18. Princeton's Connor McCormick, Nicholas Bendtsen, and Collin Boler all followed with second through fourth place finishes respectively. Connor McCormick and Collin Boler both set new personal bests. McCormick's time of 3:42.07 moves him to 8th all-time and Boler's 3:42.35 moves him into 9th all-time in the record book.
In the 200m, Xavier Donaldson continues to set new personal bests. Donaldson placed second and with a time of 21.01 he moves up to Princeton's 7th all-time.
