Scatchard Sets New Record at Wake Forest Invitational

WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - The Princeton distance runners delivered standout performances at the Wake Forest Invitational, setting new records and securing impressive finishes across multiple events.
Mena Scatchard made history by setting a new Princeton outdoor track and field record in the women's 1500m. Her remarkable time of 4:11.10 highlights her exceptional talent and determination on the track.
The excitement continued in the women's 800m run, where Maggie Liebich captured a podium finish, taking home third place with a time of 2:08.02. Liebich came back later in the day to complete the 800m/1500m double with her impressive time of 4:19.22. Charlotte O'Toole also delivered a solid performance in the 800m, securing fourth place with a time of 2:08.54. Rounding out the squad in the 800m, Maddie Cramer raced to a PR of 2:10.51.
In the women's 5000m run, Lucca Fulkerson demonstrated her prowess by clinching first place with a commanding performance, crossing the finish line in 16:45.29.
Stella Vieth conquered the 400m/1500m double with her lifetime best time of 4:28.52 1500m and her strong 400m effort of 56.86 seconds. Also in the 1500m, senior Fiona Max and freshman Anna McNatt raced to times of 4:26.89 and 4:27.33, respectively, a season best time for Max and a PR for McNatt.
Junior Alexis Allen, the lone Tiger in the 3000m steeplechase, ran within 0.1 seconds of her personal best with her time of 10:28.60.
Overall, the Wake Forest Invitational was a great success for the Princeton distance runners and it showcased the team's promising prospects for the Ivy Championships ahead.
