Men's Track & Field Concludes Competition at TCNJ Lions Invite

EWING, N.J. - At the TCNJ Lions Invite, the men's track and field team put on an great performance across various events. The Tigers had five event winners during competition on Friday and Saturday.
In the field events, Asher Robbins set a new personal record in the hammer throw, dominating with a mark of 62.82m (206-01) to claim first place. Meanwhile, Jack Hogan achieved his first event win of the season in the high jump, soaring over the bar at 1.97m (6-5.5).
Joey Avallone made his mark in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.55m (14-7.25) to secure first place and contribute to the team's success.
On the track, the Tigers asserted their dominance in the men's 800m with a remarkable 1-2-3 finish. Jack Stanley led the charge with a swift time of 1:51.66, closely followed by Duncan Miller at 1:52.52 and Jordan Kaplan at 1:52.80.
In the 1500m, Sebastian Fisher clinched his first event win of the season, crossing the finish line in 3:55.14, while Josh Zelek showcased a strong performance to secure second place with a time of 3:57.29.
Brian Boler displayed his steeplechase prowess, earning a solid second-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:18.43. Over in the hurdles, Easton Tan demonstrated speed and skill, claiming fourth place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.68. The standout performances continued with Isa Hitchen, who achieved a personal best of 48.97 in the 400m, securing a well-deserved second-place finish for the Tigers.
Overall, the Tigers had a successful weekend at the TCNJ Lions Invite. The weekend was important in setting the stage for the upcoming Ivy Heps Championships.
