No. 12 Women's Water Polo Wraps Up No. 1 Seed In CWPA Tournament With Win over Bucknell

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The No. 12 Princeton Women's Water Polo Team secured the No. 1 seed in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Tournament with a 12-5 victory over the Bucknell Bison on Sunday.
The Tigers scored five of the first six goals and took a 7-2 lead into halftime. Head coach Derek Ellingson's team recorded the first three tallies of the second half to improve its lead to eight, 10-2 and was not threatened the rest of the way.
Meera Burghardt, Shanna Davidson and Kayla Yelensky each scored hat tricks for the Tigers.
With a Harvard loss this weekend along with the Tigers' three wins, the 2023 CWPA Champions will be the No. 1 seed in the CWPA Tournament.
