
Women's Track & Field Wraps Up at West Point Twilight Meet, NCAAs Next

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Princeton women's track and field team made an impressive return to competition on Thursday night following their recent standout performance at the Ivy Outdoor Heps. As the postseason gains momentum, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and dominance across various events.
Field Events
In the Women's Discus Throw, Makenna Marshall achieved a remarkable first-place finish with a meet record mark of 50.57m (165-11), placing her fourth all-time in the outdoor record book. This PR ranks the sophomore 48th in the region, just on the cusp of qualifying for the regional meet. Marshall also secured fourth place in the shot put with a throw of 14.40m (47-3).
Madeleine Wood excelled in the women's high jump, claiming second place with a mark of 1.71m (5-7.25).
Track Events
Mena Scatchard delivered a strong performance in the women's 800m, securing second place with a PR time of 2:03.57, moving her to third all-time at Princeton on the outdoor track. Maggie Liebich captured third place with a PR time of 2:05.31, placing her on the all-time list at seventh.
In the women's 1500m, Lexi Allen and Olivia Martin demonstrated great performances with second and third place finishes, respectively. Allen completed the race in 4:23.28, while Martin closely followed with a time of 4:24.75. The distance squad went four-for-four on PRs.
To finish strong on the track, India Ingemi achieved a second-place finish in the women's 400m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 1:04.65.

The Tigers are gearing up for the NCAA First Round in Lexington, Kentucky, scheduled from May 22-25. As of the end of the West Point Twilight meet, the Tigers have 13 women in contention to qualify for the NCAA First Round.
