TFH Represented By Five Players At USA Field Hockey Senior Nexus
June 19, 2024 | Field Hockey
The Princeton field hockey team already has one member on the United States Senior National Team. There will now be five more taking the next step in following in her footsteps next month.
While Tiger junior Beth Yeager readies for the Summer Olympic Games with Team USA, Princeton will be represented by five other members of its 2024 team at the USA Field Hockey Senior Nexus in Virginia Beach July 14-16. Talia Schenck, another junior, and newcomers Izzy Morgan, Molly Nye, Libby Smith and Lilly Wojcik — all four American players in the incoming class — have been selected among the 144 athletes who will be gathering in Virginia.
According to USA Field Hockey's website: "A step along the Olympic Development Pathway program, the Senior NXC serves as a selection opportunity for the 2024-25 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team Selection Camps, Junior USWNT Selection Camps, U.S. Women's National Development Squad and U.S. Women's National Team."
Schenck was a second-team All-Ivy League selection a year ago, when she started all 17 games for the Tigers. Princeton opens its season Sept. 6 at Louisville.
