Fantinelli Tees Up In DP World Tour's Italian Open

A busy summer for Riccardo Fantinelli continues June 27-30 when he competes in the DP World Tour's Italian Open Presented By Regione Emilia-Romagna.
The 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year and a PING All-American, Fantinelli will be making his first start on the DP World Tour, competing as an amateur against Europe's premier professional golfers.
"Riccardo has been challenging himself to raise his game to a new level this summer, and we are all excited to watch him compete against a field of professionals this week," said head coach Will Green. "He has had two outstanding seasons of collegiate golf already and pushes himself daily to get better and takes on every challenge as an opportunity to improve and prepare himself for a career in golf after Princeton. I am thrilled he will be representing the Tigers at the Italian Open."
Already this summer, Fantinelli has competed at the British Amateur at Ballylifflin in Ireland. Last fall, he was part of Team Italy at the World Amateur Championships in Abu Dhabi.
This week is a bit of a "home game" for Fantinelli as the Rome native will play at Adriatic Golf Club Cervia in Ravenna, Italy -- a 4+ hour drive from Rome. Included in the field are former Masters champions Danny Willett and Patrick Reed as well as notable pros Eduardo Molinari, Dylan Frittelli, Eddie Pepperell and Rafa Cabrera Bello.
