Hannah Scott '21 Qualifes For Olympic Final In Quad Sculls
July 27, 2024 | Women's Rowing - Open
Hannah Scott '21 and Great Britain set the tone early in the women's quad sculls at the 2024 Olympics, winning their heat with the top time overall to move on to the Olympic final on July 31.
Scott, rowing in the second seat, and her teammates led throughout the race, eventually crossing the finish line first in a time of 6:13.35 which was just under two seconds ahead of Germany.
Scott's heat was the faster of the two contested. Great Britain and Germany claimed the two transfer spots with their finishes, and Switzerland -- who was third in 6:16.91 -- would have won the other heat with that time. Instead, the Swiss will head to the repechage for a chance to row into the A final.
