Yeager Named Ivy League Offensive Player Of The Week

Beth Yeager leads the Ivy League in goals. She is also second in the Ivy League in assists. This past weekend, she put both skills on display.

First, Yeager scored all three goals in Princeton's 3-0 win over Penn in the Ivy opener for both. She followed that up by having two assists, including on the game-winning goal with 3:41 to play, in Princeton's 3-2 comeback win over No. 13 Rutgers.

The two big performances earned Yeager the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week Award for the first time this season.

Yeager has returned to Princeton after playing for the United States Olympic Team in the Paris Games this past summer, when she started every game. She is also a two-time first-team All-America and two-time Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year. She also led the Ivy League in goals and points in both of her first two seasons at Princeton.

Princeton will play at Columbia, who defeated Cornell in its Ivy opener, Friday at 6 and then return home to play top-ranked Northwestern Sunday at noon.
