Princeton returns to its home course September 28-29 to host its annual Princeton Invitational at Springdale Golf Club, welcoming 11 other teams to campus for 54 holes over the two days.
In addition to the Tigers, other teams set to tee off include Ivy rivals Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn and Yale as well as Albany, Boston University, Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgetown, St. John's and Seton Hall.
The teams will tee off for 36 continuous holes on Saturday followed by the final 18 holes on Sunday with shotgun starts set for 9 a.m. both days. The course will be playing 6,086 yards at a par 71 for all three days.
The Tigers come into their home event on the heels of a successful trip to Happy Valley to open the season. The Orange and Black were team champions at the Penn State Invitational September 14-15, besting runner-up Harvard by 15 strokes. Junior Catherine Rao was individual medalist in her return after missing all of 2023-24 with injury, shooting -5 over the three rounds. Teammate Abra Richmond was second in her first collegiate event, finishing -2.
With that win, Rao continues to climb the World Amateur Golf Rankings and has now risen to a career-high No. 49 world ranking.
Last year, Victoria Liu shared medalist honors at the Princeton Invitational along with two other golfers who also finished -2. Liu's shared championship last year followed up a record-setting solo win in 2022 where she set a new tournament record with a score of -9.
Georgetown win the team championship with a score of +10, four strokes ahead of runner-up Dartmouth. Princeton's last win in its own event came in 2021.
