PRINCETON, N.J. – Coming off its first Ivy League win over Harvard on Saturday night, the Princeton men's soccer team remains home to face Monmouth in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in Roberts Stadium.

Tuesday will feature a double header at Roberts with the Princeton women's soccer team facing Lafayette at 5 p.m. The broadcast will be led by two Black-woman announcers, with Isis Young and Renee Washington on the call for both games. The matches can be found on ESPN+ here.

About the Tigers

Princeton defeated Harvard 2-0 on Saturday night, with Daniel Ittycheria and Will Francis scoring for the Tigers.
Khamari Hadaway took the win between the posts for Princeton, registering two saves in the match for his first clean sheet of the season.
Francis's goal was his second of the season and second in three games for the Tigers.
Junior Ittycheria, the 2023 Ivy League top-scorer, leads the Tigers with four goals and two assists for nine points on the season so far.
Sophomore Kevin Kelley is behind Ittycheria with 5 points off of two goals and an assist.
Princeton is currently ranked 10th in the country in corner kicks per game, averaging 7.20.
Senior captain Hadaway has been solid in goal for the Tigers, recording 90 minutes in all six matches so far and making 17 saves on the season.
The Tigers finished the 2023 season 4-8-3, going 1-4-2 in Ivy league play.
In addition to Hadaway, fellow seniors Issa Mudashiru and Harry Roberts were elected as co-captains to lead the 2024 Tiger side.

About the New Tigers

The Tigers' Class of 2028 was ranked the no. 13 recruiting class by TopDrawerSoccer, including Cyrus Klinenberg (No. 77), Kristian Kelley (No. 82), Roka Tsunehara (No. 113), Dash Papez (No. 116), and Nathan Salerno.
The Tiger newcomers are already making significant contributions to the Orange and Black's success. Tsunehara has four starts to his credit so far, while Papez notched three starts and an assist. Freshmen Kelley and Zhang have seen action in two games each.
Tsunehara was named to the TopDrawerSoccer preseason All-Freshman team on August 20. The Burlingame, Calif., native was the 2022 MLS Next U16 National MVP. He was also a leading scorer for the San Jose Earthquakes U17 team as they reached the semifinals of the MLS Next cup in 2023.
A pair of new Tigers hail from the D.C. United academy system, as Papez and Zhang led their team to win the U16 MLS Next Cup Playoffs while making deep runs in both his U15 and U17 years.
Freshman goalkeeper Salerno comes to Princeton after playing with the Columbus Crew II and helping secure key victories in the MLS Next Pro playoffs.

About Coach Barlow

Head coach Jim Barlow is in his 28th season as the men's soccer head coach and has accumulated 213 career wins with the Tigers, the most for any soccer coach in Princeton history, men's or women's. Barlow was also named the 2021 Ivy League Coach of the Year.

About Monmouth

Monmouth is 4-0-5 on the season and 1-0-3 in CAA play after drawing with Charleston on the road Saturday night, 0-0.
Erik Reis leads the Hawks with 12 points on the season after scoring five goals and notching two assists.
Patrick Osieki is behind Reis with four goals, while Jakob Friedman leads the Hawks with six assists.
Monmouth had a notable 2-1 win over no. 12 Hofstra on Saturday, September 21st.
Tuesday will mark the ninth meeting overall between the Tigers and the Hawks, with Princeton holding a 3-4-1 record against Monmouth.
The Hawks have not made the trip down route 33 to Princeton since 2018, in which Monmouth took the win 1-0.
The last matchup was a 4-1 Tiger victory on the road in West Long Branch, N.J. during the 2023 season. Francis, Ittycheria, Nico Nee and then-senior Walker Gillespie all scored during the contest to hand Princeton the win.
