January 11, 2025 | Men's Swimming and Diving
Another day, another program record for Mitchell Schott. Swimming on Day 2 of Princeton's tri-meet against the Naval Academy and Kenyon, Schott broke the Princeton record for the 500 free with a 4:15.76, one day after he set the record for the 1,000 free.
Schott's 500 swim broke the one-year old record of 4:17.58, set by his former teammate John Ehling. It also bettered the NCAA B qualifying standard.
Princeton won both of its matchups, topping Navy 246-107 and Kenyon 290-61.
Aidan Wang was a double-winner for Princeton, taking both the one- and three-meter diving events. The Tigers in fact had the top four in the one-meter event with Luca Fassi, Ben Romig and George Callanan behind Wang, and top three in the three-meter, with second place Fassi and third place Callanan.
Freshman Patrick Dinu won the 100 freestyle in 42.83, and Tyler Hong took the 200 back in 1:42.49, both of which were also B standard times.
Day 2 of the meet began when Hong, Andrew Zou, Logan Noguchi and Brett Feyerick won the 200 medley relay. Noguchi won the 100 butterfly to start a 1-2-3-4 Tiger finish that included Conor McKenna, Arthur Balva and Finn Dowdall.
Noah Sech and Hunter Kim went 1-2 in the 200 individual medley, and Zou, Sech and Kim went 2-3-4 in the 200 breaststroke. The day ended with a Princeton win in the 400 free relay with Dinu, Feyerick, Schott and Hong.
