Kastner Leads in Heptathlon After Day One of Quaker Invitational

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – The Princeton men's track and field team began competition at the Quaker Invitational, hosted by Penn, on Friday, January 17th.
With four events of the heptathlon scored, Philip Kastner leads the event with 3225 points after taking first in the shot put with a mark of 14.58m while finishing in the top five of the other three events. Kastner tied for first in the high jump (1.94) and took second in the long jump (7.17), while taking fifth in the 60m (7.07).
Caden Simmons stands in fifth place in the heptathlon with a score of 2719 after winning the high jump with a mark of 1.94m. Simmons also took third in the 60m with a time of 7.02.
Kastner, Simmons and the rest of the Tiger squad will continue competition at Penn tomorrow with day two of the Quaker Invitational.
