Men's Track and Field Closes Out Competition at Spec Towns Invitational

ATHENS, GA. – Registering more program top-10 performances and new personal bests, the Princeton men's track and field team closed out competition at the Spec Towns Invitational on Saturday in Athens, Ga.

The Princeton 4x400 squad ran 3:03.72 for third at the meet and second all-time in the program record book.

Tyler Konopka took seventh in the shot put with a throw of 18.06/59-3.

In the 110m hurdles, Easton Tan matched his PR with a time of 14.02 in the prelims. In the finals, he ran 14.01 for a new personal best and a fourth place finish. The mark improves his fourth all-time performance in the Princeton record book.

Foster was ahead of him, finishing third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 13.80, just .02 seconds off from his personal best.

Karl Dietz had a top-10 finish in the 400m, running 47.18.

The Tigers will head out west next weekend for a trio of meets out in California, with the Pacific Coast Invitational, the Bryan Clay Invite and the Mt. SAC Invitational. Part of the squad will also stay back to compete at the IC4A Championships at Rutgers.
